PREPARATIONS to the 8th Edition of the Medical and Health Expo slated for October 3 to 5, are at an advanced stage amidst indications that close to 100 exhibitors are set to participate at this year’s exhibition.

The expo which has become a household name in Zimbabwe, has over the years grown in terms of quality of exhibitors as well as the number of participants.
In an interview with healthtimes, Zim-Afro Director Shepherd Chakanza said a number of activities have been lined up for the expo which will be held at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) under the theme “Universal Healthcare Coverage” while a number highly informative discussions and meetings are lined up for the event.
“The event has grown bigger, we are looking at hosting new and old exhibitors and the conferences we have lined up are we unique this time around.
“We are inviting manufacturers of Medical Equipment Pharmaceutical supplies and manufacturers, Regulatory Bodies, Health executives hospital and clinics, Medical aid organisations, Emergency services Health Advocacy), Financial Institutions, Wellness Centres, Alternative Medicines Biomedical, Diagnostics/Laboratory Service, Radio biology, Physiotherapy / Orthopedic technology, Dentistry equipment and devices, Veterinary equipment and devices Hospital and Clinical utilities, Communication systems to come in their number,” said Chakanza.
The Expo is also open to Doctors (Surgery), Practicing Physician , Veterinarian Dentists, Dental surgeons, Dental technicians Doctors (Hospitals, Health Centres, Sub-Centres, other medical establishments) Physiotherapists, Ergotherapists, Hospital directors/-managers, Hospital administration managers and staff, Biologists, Microbiologists, Bio-chemists, Chemists, Process engineers, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) for rehabilitation aids, Visitors with medical pharmaceutical vocational training (e.g. medical laboratory assistant, technician, doctor’s assistant, nurse) Visitors from industry/manufacturer, Distributors, academies and universities government / international agencies & associations.
