The in vitro fertilisation (IVF) programme reintroduced at The Avenues Clinic in Harare in 2016 is proving successful, with eight live births so far and 20 ongoing pregnancies. Local platinum mining giant, Zimplats has committed more than $1 million towards equipping and renovating Kadoma District Hospital. The hospital has already undergone a major facelift, courtesy of platinum mining giant. Works are expected to be completed by the third week of this month before the project can be handed over to the Ministry of Health and Child Care.
