#BREAKING: Recruitment Of Nurses Begins

THE Minister of health and child care has ordered  Chief Executive Officers for all health institutions to hire new nurses to fill gaps left by the fired striking nurses.

In a statement, acting health secretary, Mr R Kaseke said the gaps left by the axed nurses had to be filled as soon as possible.

“Reference is made to the Press Statement by Vice President Retired General Constatine Chiwenga on April 17, 2018, a copy is attached for ease of reference.

“You are requested to recruit nurses to cover the gaps of the nurses who were summarily discharged. Please ensure that your relevant teams are in place to facilitate the recruitment and assumption of duties with effect from April 18,  2018 by retired and unemployed nurses,’ said Mr Kaseke.

Central hospitals have been mandated to recruit 30 nurses,  provincial hospitals 20, district hospitals 15, rural hospitals 5 and rural health centers/clinics 1/2.
