He was told to reside at the same address given to the court and asked not to interfere with state witnesses.

Prophet Magaya who was arrested this morning appeared at Harare magistrate’s courts and charged for contravening Section 41 of the Medicines and Allied Substances Control Act for advertising Medicine without approval.

The verdict comes barely two days after members of the Zimbabwe Republic Police accompanied by the dreaded Central Intelligence agents launched a blitz on  Prophet Magaya’s Offices searching the purported ‘HIV and Cancer cure’.

Magaya’s company, Aretha Medicals which manufactured the controversial Aguma medicine, faces three charges which include:

  1. Manufacturing without a license
    2. Operating a lab without a license
    3. Yet to find out

He was represented by Everson Chatambudza.

Yesterday, Prophet Magaya at a joint press conference with the Ministry of Health and Childcare apologised for rushing to announce his discovery before it was registered and tested in Zimbabwe by relevant authorities such as the Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ).
