Health Ministry Conducts Digital Health Preparedness Assessment

THE Ministry of Health And Child Care’s assessment of its institutions’ readiness for digital health is well on course as experts are on the verge of starting compiling the report next week.

The Deputy Director of Information Technologies in the Health Ministry Mr Trymore Chawurura told HealthTimes the evaluation process of the country’s public health institutions digital health infrastructure preparedness began about a forthnight ago.

“We did an assessment, facility by facility out of 140 randomly selected sites. We finished the data collection digitally now what’s left is to analyse the data and come up with a report something that we are going to do beginning 16 to 20 September,” he said.

Health Institutions being assessed are from all the country’s ten provinces.

Zimbabwe has been making some strides in terms of coming up with home grown solutions for digital health.
