The abduction is believed to have happened around 22:00 hours on Saturday, September 15 in Budiriro while he was in the company of his colleagues.

Speaking to HealthTimes, ZHDA Secretary General, Dr Anelle Bhebe said the development had shook the association and called on government to urgently investigate the abduction.

I just heard from his colleagues he went missing at 2020 yesterday in Budiriro. He was abducted by three unknown men after having been sent a tip op earlier just before he went missing. This is just a shocker and unthinkable

“We call upon the government of Zimbabwe to immediately activate the necessary security apparatus to ascertain his ware bouts. Meanwhile, all doctors must immediately withdraw services in government hospitals until Dr Magombeyi is found safe and sound,” said Dr Bhebe.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe Association of Doctors for Human Rights (ZADHR) has condemned the abduction of doctor Magombeyi and called on government to urgently resolve the issue.
