Speaking to HealthTimes, TelOne Head Corporate Communications and Client Expertise,  Melody Harry said the move was meant to boost morale and mental health for the citizenry during the lockdown period.

We have engaged professional fitness trainers who will be recording sessions for our pages daily. They will also be live to respond to questions.

“The idea is to support the physical and mental wellbeing of our staff, clients and stakeholders during the lockdown period,” said Harry.

She added that the sessions will be starting at 6:00 am every day and the sessions will be pinned on the social media pages and accounts to enable viewing throughout the day.

According to Psychologist, Dr Kudakwashe Muchena, working out could help boost mental health and a positive attitude during the Lockdown period.

“Even if it’s just star jumps in your bedroom or shaking your body parts like you are in the warm-up section of an acting class, exercise will help get the adrenaline out of your system and channel the panic elsewhere.

“Give yourself half an hour to worry about this to your heart’s content, and then you have to go and do something else,” said Dr Muchena.
