According to President Mnangagwa the easing of restrictions was the first step towards economic recovery post the COVID-Q9 induced lockdown which was adopted in March.

From the pains of the pandemic, we must now find new impetus to rebuild. The liberalization of our economy must continue in earnest.

“Reforms stuck in the wheels of bureaucracy must be unleashed, catalysed and implemented. However, as the workforce is slowly released from the painful Lockdown, we must remain vigilant. The virus is still with us so please act with caution,” said President Mnangagwa.

He further implored citizens to continue maintaining stick to physical distancing, wear face masks in public as well as keep windows open.

“Although our lockdown remains at level 2, let us begin to further open up remembering that we all have a role to play.

“We are determined, hardworking people who know how to work closely and cooperatively. United in peace and harmony we shall overcome.”
