ZIMBABWE yesterday recorded a total 52 new COVID-19 cases after 15 deportees from Botswana and 37 more citizens tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) Daily Situation Report (Sitrep) for the week ending May, 4 2021.
52New Cases(37 Local and 15 deportees from Botswana )and 1Death reported in the last 24 hrs. (7 day rolling average* for new cases falls to 32 today from 34 yesterday),” said the report.
As of 3 June 2021, @1500hrs there were 57 hospitalised cases: Asymptomatic 5, mild to moderate 40, severe 9 and 3 in Intensive Care Units.( Masvingo and Mat South did not report today) •2 291 tests done today(Positivity today was 2.3%). 10 new recoveries reported: National Recovery rate stands at 94% and Active cases go up to 849 today.
Meanwhile, with regards to the national vaccination drive, 1 400 received their 1st dose yesterday bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 685 564while 6 334 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for second dose to 370 674 .
