Zimbabwe Records 111 COVID-19 Cases In One Day

A total 111 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the past 24 hours in Zimbabwe.

According to the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) Situation Report (Sitrep) of June 9, 2021, there has been an increase in cases over the last seven days with the highest peak of 111 cases reported today.

Vaccination Update:

523 received their 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 689 920while 4 651 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 394 063 .(as at 1600hrs)•As of 8 June 2021,

@1500hrs there were 75 hospitalised cases: Asymptomatic 8, mild to moderate 57, severe 9 and 1 in Intensive Care Units.(Manicaland, Mash West, Midlands and Mat South did not report today) •3 427 tests done today(Positivity today was 3.2%).•161 new recoveries reported: National Recovery rate stands at 93% and Active cases godown to 893 today.•As of 09June2021,Zimbabwehas recorded39432Cases36917recoveries&1622Deaths.
