Zim Reports Zero COVID-19 Deaths For The First Time In Three Months

A total 76 new Cases and 0 deaths reported yesterday, 4, October, 2021 as the seven day rolling average for new cases falls to 183 today from 227.

This also comes following a great reduction in infections recorded in learning institutions around the country which had of late become the epicentre of the virus.

According to the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) daily situation report of 4 Ocotber, 2021,only 5 cases reported from schools today and all from Manicaland Province.

Meanwhile, a total 6 101 received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine yesterday, bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 3 117 895 while 10 525 received their second dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 2 322 862.

As of 03 October 2021, @1500hrs there were 66 hospitalised cases, zero new admissions, 10 asymptomatic cases, mild to moderate 39, severe 15 and 2 in Intensive Care Units.

2 138 tests done yestersay (Positivity today was 3.6%). 160 new recoveries: National Recovery rate rise to 94% & Active cases go down to 2 631. As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 131 205 Cases 123 947 recoveries&4 627  Deaths.
