Chinese medical team arrives at Parirenyatwa Hospital

THE 19th team of the Chinese medical team has set up camp at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals to work alongside the Hospital’s personnel. By Kudakwashe Pembere Their arrival comes in the midst of  a massive brain damage which is crippling the health sector. This medical cohort comprises of two Traditional Chinese Medicine Specialists , a urologist, a cardiologist, a general surgeon, a respiratory specialist, a radiologist, an orthopedic surgeon and an anesthetist. THE Chinese medical team that arrived in Zimbabwe last week has come at time Zimbabwe is in need of medical expertise in areas such as anesthesia, orthopedics and radiology in the country’s public health facilities, a health official has said. A 10 member Chinese doctors delegation from the 16th Chinese Brigade,  has arrived in the country to support health functions as well as impart knowledge in some medical aspects especially in areas where Zimbabwe has a deficit in medical expertise.
