Operations Manager – Healthguard

Job Summary

Healthguard International provides high-quality international medical insurance, ensuring accessible private healthcare for individuals and organisations in Sub-Saharan Africa and India.

As part of Cimas Health Group, with over 80 years of experience, we collaborate with a broad network of medical funders, administrators, and providers in the region.

We seek an experienced Operations Manager to join our team, reporting to the Managing Director.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Own end-to-end operational performance across third party fund administrator and internal shared service functions, ensuring business unit priorities are visible, escalated, and resolved.
• Lead the digital customer experience ecosystem spanning the full member lifecycle from onboarding through to claims resolution.
• Drive regional market expansion by identifying and onboarding the infrastructure, networks, and partnerships that underpin growth across Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Deliver strategic initiatives end-to-end with rigorous governance, clear accountability, and disciplined execution.
• Work hand-in-glove with the Commercial Manager to identify, contract, and activate brokers, agents, and intermediary partners in key markets.
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success and track progress over time.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory frameworks, and international standards.

Qualifications

• Healthcare Management, or equivalent.
• Certification in Project Management, Certification in Change Management or Certification in Sales Management.
• Post qualification experience in Operations Management or related field.
• 5-7 years’ experience in operations management or related field.
• 4-6 years’ experience managing multi-country service networks and third-party vendors.
• 3-5 years’ experience in managing and supporting agents or brokers of financial services.
