THE Community Working Group on Health (CWGH) has expressed  concern over government’s failure to hold public consultations before legalizing mbanje or cannabis (marijuana) at a time the country is grappling with the problem of drug abuse, especially among the youth. THE Zimbabwe Medical Association (ZIMA) has pleaded with government to reverse its recently announced intentions to license Marijuana farming for medicinal purposes saying it could lead to a spike in drug abuse and dependence.
