MR Portiphar Mwendera was recently re-elected president of the Pharmaceutical Society of Zimbabwe during the elections at the representative body of retail pharmacies, pharmaceutical wholesalers and manufacturers.

In a tweet announcing the recent development, PSZ wished him and the committee the best.

“We wish them all the best as they lead Zim’s oldest professional association,” the association said.
Mr Mwendera with B Pharm (Hons) (UZ), MBA (NTU), MPS qualifications has been the PSZ President since May 2018 last year and was the Vice President for the past year having served in the Council for the past (years representing different portfolios). He is also a member of the Retail Pharmacists Association having also served as its chairperson at one time in the past.
Mr Mwendera is vastly experienced in the retail pharmacy sector where he has been practising for the past 18years and has a keen interest in the automation of processes in this field with the view of freeing up the community pharmacist to focus on the patient interaction to bring out the best pharmaceutical care there is.
