REGIONAL Psychosocial Support Initiative (REPSSI) founding Executive Director and CEO Noreen Huni has died after a three year battle with stomach cancer.
The organisagtion was formed to ensure that mental and psychosocial wellbeing for girls, boys and youth becomes standard in East and Southern Africa.

The members said she had been working with the organisation for the past 16 years.
“On behalf of the Board and Management of REPSSI it is with sadness to inform you of the passing on of our much loved CEO who has championed the cause of psychosocial and mental well-being of all children and youth nationally, regionally and internationally for the last sixteen years,” the organisation,” they said.
She received one of the ten 2018 Klaus J. Jacobs Awards for social innovation and engagement.
