Harare COVID-19 Recoveries Still Very Low

HARARE Province is still lagging behind other provinces in terms of recording new recoveries from the COVID-19 disease, the Ministry of Health and Child Care daily COVID-19 sitrep has indicated.

According to the update, Harare still has the highest number of active cases compared other provinces with a total 1765 active cases since the virus was reported in the country in March. To date, Harare only has recorded 76 recoveries and 71 deaths, also making it the province with the highest casualties.

Bulawayo on the other hand has so far recorded 755 recovered cases, followed by Midlands province which has recorded 341 recoveries, Mashonaland East 177 recoveries and Masvingo 127.

Meanwhile, Manicaland  has 214 active case and 57 recoveries. Mashonaland Central has no active cases and 48 recoveries and two deaths. Mat South has 429 active COVID-19 cases and 76 recoveries while Mat North has 42 active cases and 49 recoveries.

Zimbabwe currently has 4990 cumulative COVID-19 cases, 2935 active cases, 1927 recoveries and 128 deaths.
