Delta Corporation Donates Physiotherapy Equipment To Sally Mugabe Hospital

SALLY Mugabe Central Hospital has received physiotherapy department valued at USD$50,000 with the aim of enhancing services for patients with mobility challenges.

In his acceptance speech, Sally Mugabe Hospital Chief Executive Officer, Dr Christopher Pasi said,“We are extremely grateful because the donation directly impacts our department. Just briefly, the main objective of our department is to help our patients achieve the maximum possible level of functional independence in every aspect of their lives including return to work or school and an improved quality of life.

“We cater for patients with a wide range of health challenges including stroke, burns, orthopedic conditions, surgical conditions, medical conditions and mental illness. These different conditions require different treatment modalities and equipment in order for us to meet our goal of rehabilitating the patients we meet.”

Meanwhile, Delta Corporation General Manager -Corporate Affairs, Patricia Murambinda said, “This equipment will help improve mobility to patients referred to the physiotherapy department. The project is in line with our focused sustainability platform to give access to a healthier world in the communities where we operate in. As market leaders we have a responsibility to make a meaningful difference to empower and protect the
communities and the environment in which we operate.

We look forward to a successful use of the equipment and hearing powerful the impact stories as a result. As I conclude I would like to thank Sally Mugabe Hospital for partnering with us to implement this noble initiative in Zimbabwe as we look forward to a robust partnership with you.
