ZIMBABWE’S leading leading hotel operations company, African Sun Limited has donated toiletry and kitchen utensils worth ZWL400 000 towards the COVID-19 in a bid to improve health and sanitation outcomes at Mvuma Hospital in the midlands province.

In a statement, African Sun Limited Managing Director, Mr Ed Shangwa said they now regard health facilities as enablers to a the success of the tourism industry.
As part of the clarion call from the Government in assisting to fight this serious pandemic COVID 19, African Sun Limited continues to help and assist in any way we can to the communities along the way to some of our hotels. It is our considered view that as we focus on our re-opened hotels for now, some of our customers maybe in need of health facilities on their way to or from our hotels.
“We now regard health facilities as a business enabler to the success of the tourism and hospitality industry, also not forgetting the communities around the Midlands Province , some of which are our existing customers or future customers. Some of our customers travelling by road use Mvuma as their connectivity gateway to Harare, Bulawayo and Masvingo. It is against this background that we have decided to help by donating these items today,” said Mr Shangwa.
The total list of donated items include 275 bath towels, 340 hand towels, 460 bath mats, 145 sheets, 680 pillow cases, 76 blankets, 80 duvets, 139 dinner plates and 133 tea cups.
