THE 19th team of the Chinese medical team has set up camp at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals to work alongside the Hospital’s personnel.

Their arrival comes in the midst of a massive brain damage which is crippling the health sector. This medical cohort comprises of two Traditional Chinese Medicine Specialists , a urologist, a cardiologist, a general surgeon, a respiratory specialist, a radiologist, an orthopedic surgeon and an anesthetist.
Cervical screening consumables were also handed over to Parirenyatwa Hospital. The Chinese medical team captain Dr Zhu said they will work to the best of their ability in improving maternal and child health.
This is Dr Zhu captain of China Medical team also chief of Zimbabwe-China Traditional Medicine Acupuncture Centre. Today we hold the handover ceremony of the medical equipment and materials of the two projects of Zimbabwe-China cooperation.
” One is China’s maternal and child health care project in Zimbabwe which is with Hunan Provincial Maternal and Child Health Care Hospitl and the other is China’s Traditional Chinese acupuncture talent training project in Zimbabwe which is with the affiliated hospital of Hinan Academy of traditional chinese medicine,” he said.
He also said they will provide equipment for early diagnosis of maternal health conditions.
“With China’s maternal and child health care innovation project, we hope to make early diagnosis of maternal and child health diseases by providing necessary training equipment. But how to intervene if the early diagnosis is made? With the complement of traditional chinese medicine and acupuncture, now you have more options,” said Dr Zhu.
