Zimbabwe’s second largest City, Bulawayo has since recorded two suspected Cholera Cases, bringing the total number of provinces that have recorded suspected cases to nine.

According ti the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC), 12 new suspected cholera cases, 1 suspected death and 11 laboratory confirmed case were reported yesterday.
These were reported from Beitbridge (7). Mutare City (3), Mutare Rural (1) and Bulawayo (1). As of 12 April 2023, 12 cases are hospitalized. These are admitted at: Beitbridge District Hospital CTC (6) in Mat South Province, Mutare City (2), Mutare Rural (1) in Manicaland Province, and Bikita District (1) in Masvingo Province Chiwenga Clinic (1) in Mash Central Province and Thornfrove Hospital (1) in Bulawayo Province.”
The number of tests done yesterday were 228 RDT, 67 RDT positive (29.3 % positivity) and Culture 198 culture done, 90 culture positive (45.4 % positivity). 15 New recoveries were recorded amidst a national Recovery Rate is at 95 % & cases in-care 12.
Cumulatively, Zimbabwe has recorded 428 suspected cholera cases, 90 confirmed cases, 407 recoveries, 2 Confirmed deaths and 7 suspected deaths.
