The Zimbabwean Ambassador to Zambia, Mrs. Charity Charamba, recently hosted the Founder and President of Texila American University (TAU), Mr. Saju Bhaskar, at the Zimbabwean Embassy in Lusaka. Accompanied by the TAU Zambia Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ajay Poddar, Mr. Bhaskar paid a courtesy call to the ambassador during his visit to Zambia from India.
Ambassador Charamba commended Mr. Bhaskar for his significant investment in medical education, describing Texila’s facilities as impressive and highly conducive to learning. She further praised the university’s dedication to providing quality education, particularly for Zimbabwean students pursuing medical studies at TAU’s Zambia campus.

The ambassador lauded Texila’s new program, which will allow students to undertake part of their studies in the United Kingdom and other countries through partnerships with renowned hospitals. She described the initiative as a game changer that would enhance the quality of graduates produced, equipping them with international exposure and advanced clinical experience. She also encouraged Mr. Bhaskar to explore investment opportunities in Zimbabwe, highlighting potential in Mining, Agriculture, Tourism, and other sectors.
Mr. Bhaskar thanked the ambassador for her kind words and support, reaffirming Texila’s commitment to fostering quality education in the region. He emphasized the university’s mission to provide globally competitive training to students, particularly in the medical field.
