ZIMBABWE yesterday recorded seven more cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 63 up from 56.

Even though more recoveries have been reported recently, the number of active cases now exceeds that of recovered patients.
In its daily update,the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) said the new cases were detected amongst returnees from South Africa who are quarantines in Beitbridge.
Seven new cases tested positive for COVID-19 today. These are returnees from South Africa who are quarantined in Beitbridge. Today 653 Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDT) screening tests and 185 PCRÂ diagnostic tests were done. The cumulative number of tests done to date is 38 352 (22 402) and 15 950 PCR.
“To date, the total number of confirmed cases is 63, recovered 25, active cases 34 and four deaths the onset of the outbreak on 20 March 2020.”
