The Hospice and Palliative Care Association of Zimbabwe (HOSPAZ) will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 25 September 2026, bringing together members and stakeholders to review the organisation’s progress and chart its priorities for the years ahead.
The AGM is expected to provide a platform for members to deliberate on key organisational matters while taking stock of HOSPAZ’s work in advancing hospice and palliative care in Zimbabwe.
A major focus of the meeting will be the Association’s new strategy, which will set out its priorities and direction for the coming years.
HOSPAZ said the AGM will give members and stakeholders an opportunity to review organisational progress, deliberate on key matters and engage with the Association’s plans for the future.
The meeting comes as the need for accessible, quality palliative care continues to be an important component of Zimbabwe’s health system, particularly for people living with serious and life-limiting illnesses and their families.
Palliative care focuses on improving the quality of life of patients and families affected by serious illness by addressing physical, psychological, social and other needs.
For HOSPAZ, the AGM will therefore provide an important opportunity to reflect on progress while establishing priorities for strengthening hospice and palliative care services in the years ahead.
