The 2025 Health Tech Connect Conference, scheduled for February 27-28, is set to attract stakeholders from across the medical and technology industries. Hosted by the Entrepreneurs Network of Zimbabwe (ENZ), the event comes at a time when Zimbabwe is accelerating its adoption of digital health services, including e-learning, telemedicine, and the electronic health records system, Impilo.
ENZ CEO Gillian Rusike emphasized the importance of the conference, stating, “We are at a turning point where technology is no longer an option but a necessity in the medical field. Health Tech Connect 2025 is about bringing stakeholders together to embrace innovations that will improve patient care, streamline medical operations, and ultimately save lives.”
Running under the theme “Building Healthcare Systems with Tech-Driven Solutions,” the conference will gather medical professionals, technology experts, policymakers, and industry leaders to explore how cutting-edge innovations can transform healthcare delivery in Zimbabwe and beyond.
The two-day event will feature expert-led presentations, panel discussions, interactive exhibits, and networking sessions, all designed to foster collaboration between the healthcare and technology sectors.
With the rapid evolution of medical technologies, Health Tech Connect 2025 will serve as a platform for professionals to engage with the latest advancements, share knowledge, and explore solutions that enhance patient care and operational efficiency in healthcare institutions,” said Rusike.
Key highlights will include discussions on emerging technologies in healthcare and their transformative role in diagnostics, treatment, and patient care. Topics will cover Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning in early disease detection, personalized medicine, and robotic-assisted surgeries. Additionally, Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) will be showcased in therapeutic interventions, medical training, and rehabilitation.
The conference will provide insights into telehealth platforms, mobile health applications, wearable technology, and virtual consultations—innovations that are bridging the gap between medical practitioners and patients, particularly in underserved areas. Discussions will also extend to big data analytics and blockchain technology, examining their impact on predictive healthcare, secure patient data management, and personalized treatment plans.
Another key focus will be health and wellness innovations, particularly in eye wellness, dental health, mental health solutions, fitness wearables, and digital therapeutic applications. Experts will explore technology-driven interventions to manage mental health concerns such as stress, anxiety, and depression through mobile applications and AI-powered chatbots that provide cognitive behavioral therapy and emotional support.
A dedicated panel discussion will address regulatory and compliance challenges, with participation from government representatives, regulatory bodies, and medical associations. This session will examine policies governing digital healthcare, including data privacy laws, ethical considerations, and the regulation of medical devices and pharmaceuticals. The role of herbal medicine in modern healthcare and its integration with scientific diagnostics will also be explored.
For businesses looking to expand their market presence, Health Tech Connect 2025 will offer a session on marketing strategies in the health sector. This will include branding techniques, patient engagement strategies, and commercialization approaches tailored for health-tech companies.
On the second day, the focus will shift to the role of technology in emergency medical services. Leading ambulance service providers will discuss advancements such as real-time GPS tracking, AI-based dispatch systems, and drone technology, which are improving emergency response times and patient outcomes. Another significant session will explore technology’s impact on cancer detection, prevention, research, and treatment.
According to Roseline Chisveto, the conference’s Marketing Executive, the event will be a game-changer for professionals across various industries. “Health Tech Connect 2025 is not just a conference; it is a movement toward a smarter, more efficient healthcare system. This event offers the tools and knowledge to be part of the digital transformation in healthcare,” she said.
Health Tech Connect 2025 is expected to attract a diverse audience, including doctors, nurses, radiologists, pharmacists, health-tech innovators, hospital administrators, policymakers, IT experts, data scientists, medical equipment suppliers, investors, and academics. Attendees will gain firsthand exposure to cutting-edge medical technologies, network with industry leaders, and explore collaborative opportunities driving digital transformation in healthcare.
Chisveto emphasized that the event is essential for those passionate about the future of healthcare. “Whether you are a medical professional seeking innovative solutions, a tech entrepreneur developing disruptive health-tech products, or a policymaker shaping healthcare regulations, this conference offers unparalleled opportunities to stay ahead of the curve.”
