Cimas Health Group has opened registration for Cimas Healthathon 3.0, inviting innovators across Zimbabwe to develop practical, technology-driven solutions aimed at improving healthcare access, affordability and service delivery.

Running under the theme “Reimagining Healthcare Through Disruptive Innovation,” the challenge targets innovation hubs, start-ups, university technology teams, software developers and product innovators.

Participants are expected to turn their ideas into workable minimum viable products addressing key healthcare challenges such as fragmented health data, limited access to services, preventive healthcare gaps, service delivery inefficiencies and patient experience.

Cimas Health Group said the initiative is designed to encourage practical innovation that can be scaled within the healthcare system.

Cash prizes totalling USD 7,000 are up for grabs. The winning team will receive USD 3,500, while the second- and third-placed teams will receive USD 2,000 and USD 1,500 respectively.

Applications close on 12 July 2026. Interested applicants are encouraged to visit Cimas Health Group’s official social media platforms and website for registration details.
