The Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) has dismissed as fake and misleading a notice circulating on social media and WhatsApp platforms claiming to announce 2026 Registered General Nurse (RGN) orientation dates.
In a statement issued via its official Facebook page, the Ministry warned the public that the message, which directs enquiries to a WhatsApp number, did not originate from MoHCC and is not sanctioned by the Ministry.
MoHCC clarified that all official information on nursing recruitment, intake, orientation and training is communicated exclusively through Government mainstream newspapers and its official social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook.
The Ministry urged the public to disregard unverified notices and report suspicious messages for verification, warning that the spread of false information that causes public alarm is an offence punishable by law.
