NO COVID-19 death has been recorded in the country over the past 24 hours, making it the first time the country has gone for a day without recording a single COVID-19 death since beginning of the year.

According to the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) daily Situation Report, the country recorded 14 positive COVID-19 cases over the last 24 hours, making it the lowest daily cases recorded so far in the year.
“14 New Cases and No Deaths reported in the last 24 hours. (7 day rolling average* for new cases falls to 41 to day from 48 yesterday). All are local cases,” said the Sitrep.
As of 26 February 2021, @1500hrs there were 161 hospitalised cases: Asymptomatic 109, mild to moderate 38, severe 6 and 8 in Intensive Care Units.
“1302 tests done today( Positivity today was 1.08%). 51 new recoveries reported: National Recovery rate stands at 90.4% and Active cases go down to 2005 today. As of 27 February 2021, Zimbabwe has now recorded36 058 Cases32590 recoveries and 1463Deaths.”
Meanwhile, 3126 frontline workers vaccinated today (As at 1600hrs) bringing cumulative vaccinated to 15705.
