Tebekwe Mine has launched a free health screening program for all its employees. The on-site initiative offers blood pressure monitoring, TB screening, and other essential tests.

“Our workers are our most valuable asset,” said Mine Manager Amb. Professor Smelly Dube. “By bringing these services directly to them, we are not only ensuring their well-being, but also showing that this mine is one big family.”

The program, developed by the mine’s directors, aims to detect health issues early and promote a culture of wellness among the workforce. Employees have welcomed the initiative, praising management for prioritizing their health alongside production targets.

A medical doctor conducts the screenings in a designated area at the mine site, minimizing disruption to the work schedule. Plans are also underway to establish a permanent clinic at Tebekwe Mine in the near future.
