As part of its contributions to control the raging scourge of drug and substance abuse in Zimbabwe, CIMAS says it recently acquired the Highlands Wellness Group to provide drug abuse related rehabilitation services.

With this acquisition, CIMAS will be providing comprehensive coverage for alcohol and drug rehabilitation services to its members.
The alarming increase in cases of alcohol and substance abuse in Zimbabwe, particularly during the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic, has highlighted the urgent need for accessible and effective rehabilitation services.
“However, the high costs associated with such treatments have presented a significant barrier for individuals seeking recovery. Recognising the gravity of this issue, Cimas Medical Aid Society has taken a progressive step by extending coverage for alcohol and drug rehabilitation services to its members,” said the company.
The company is the first to offer a package dedicated to help in the treatment and rehabilitation of their members.

CIMAS Medical Aid Managing Director Ms Tinotenda Mushapaidze highlighted the importance of rehabilitation and highlighted Cimas’s commitment to delivering global standard health and wellness solutions for its members.
Mushapaidze also shared their efforts in raising awareness through their anti-drug and substance abuse campaign, featuring popular musicians such as Asaph and Holyten, with the message, “It’s Never Too Late. Say No to Drugs.”
